Taste is an annual Art Exhibition we host at EV Church, where anyone can gather to view artwork that a bunch of our church family created, and to celebrate and praise God for the creativity he has given us. Opening night features markets with live music, handmade stalls, and a selection of delicious food available for purchase.

21 Sept: Opening Night – Exhibition & Markets, 5:30pm-9pm
Official Launch 6.00pm
22-23 Sept: Day Exhibition – 9:00am to 5:00pm
THEME: Embrace
Clasp, hold, adopt, welcome. Physical expression of closeness, comfort, love, and warmth. Welcoming change, and challenges, and the icy winter ocean when one dives in. The star-clotted sky, or the spring air in a field of wildflowers. The first hug from a loved one, or the last. The embracing of one’s identity in Christ. Transformed, united, belonging, Chosen, Precious.
God has made us creative so that we might enjoy Him and glorify Him through what we make. TASTE began as a space for our EV Church family to come together, engage with art, spark meaningful conversations, and praise God through creativity. It is a chance for us to grow in our understanding of His design for artistic expression while creating a welcoming space for our wider community to connect through art.

To Submit a Piece of Work
- Complete the form above to let us know you’re interested in submitting.
- Everything from metal sculptures, photo, video, painting, poetry, wood, textiles, and more.
- Submission to include a small blurb on why/how your artwork relates to the theme EMBRACE.
- Submissions from Adults and Mini Tasters (10-15Yrs) are due 23 August.

Mini Tasters
We’d love to encourage submissions for kids aged 10-15 years into our Mini Tasters!
(Anyone aged 16 and up please submit to the main Taste).
Requirements are:
- Types: Painting, drawing, photography, sculpture, poetry/storytelling
- Size: Maximum size being equivalent to A4 = 297 x 210mm
- Please accompany your submission with a small blurb on why/how your artwork relates to the theme RISE.
Please also clearly label your work with name and phone number so we can make sure it gets back to you easily afterwards. We can’t wait to see what you create!
