Key Dates
- Training Day: Saturday, 26 Oct 2024, 9am-3pm, EV Church, Erina
- Summerfest 2025: Sat to Sat, 4th – 11th January, EV Church, Erina
Summerfest is an urban mission (like a beach mission without the sand) run in partnership with EV Church, with an emphasis on training people to better serve our Lord Jesus. It has been a great joy to see many from the Summerfest team go onto full-time ministry or start mission programs in other places.
The midweek program runs with three kids sections each day and two youth sections each night. We run the program to reach people who don’t know Jesus so that they can hear the gospel and connect to a Church where they can continue to learn and grow. While the kids programs are running, a team of people from EV run a cafe for parents to engage with the things of Jesus and connect them to Church.
For the leaders running the kids and youth program, we hope this year to share the Gospel with over 700 kids and teens from the Central Coast. It’s a huge job, but we’re praying God will provide a team of 130 leaders to help see more kids and more families come to know Jesus Christ.
Summerfest has three aims:
- Proclaiming
the good news about Jesus to the Central Coast during the week of Summerfest and seeking to connect non-Christians to Church. - Partnering
with and encouraging the ministry of EV Church to continue reaching the lost on the Central Coast. - Multiplying
by envisioning and training leaders for a lifetime of ministry, building their convictions and skills to serve Jesus wherever they end up.

The three aims shape Summerfest and make it a very strategic mission. This has helped it become one of the best summer missions in New South Wales.
So, what does this look like?
- being part of a team that runs an age-specific program each day
- being part of community evangelism
- Getting training alongside people from a whole range of churches
- Linking people into an established church where follow-up will happen.
