Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-centred recovery program for anyone struggling with a hurt, habit or hangup of any kind.
Recovery provides a safe space where we encounter the power of Jesus Christ within an encouraging and confidential community. Together we grow in freedom from the issues that have an unhealthy power in our life. A place where we apply Hebrews 12:1
Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.

Who is it for?
Recovery is for anyone who wants to grow in maturity in relationship with Jesus, but is feeling that this process is inhibited by a hurt, hangup or a habit.
This can be things like;
- Hurts like relationship breakdown, or grief and loss,
- Hangups like poor self esteem, fear and anxiety,
- Habits like shopping, pornography, gambling, and alcohol addictions
What does the Recovery program involve?
- Recovery is a Bible-based 12 step program that runs for 2 hours per week, over 22 weeks.
- Recovery at EV Church runs Wednesday nights 7-9pm, from mid February to mid August, excluding school holidays.
Structure of the Night
- 25 minutes – teaching time in a big group
- 20 minutes – The facilitator shares a testimony, then a short break for a cuppa
- 1 hour – small groups (separate men’s and women’s groups).
- During this group time we share our answers to the questions from the workbook that we have prepared during the week.
This program is confidential and anonymous and you will not be asked directly to share or contribute, you are free to choose to share. Many people do the course multiple times to gain maximum benefit.
