Romans 1–5 gives the clearest unfolding of the gospel, showing our deepest need and God’s great desire to save through Christ. Romans is central to understanding all of Scripture, opening its treasures and displaying salvation with unmatched clarity. Paul writes to unify the church, prepare for mission, and defend the gospel against objections. He declares that all are under sin, that justification comes through faith in Christ, and that in him we have peace with God. Christ, the new head, overcomes Adam’s condemnation. This gospel brings joy, praise, and a life that honours God.
