Just like Paul, we too can have the ability to not lose heart. Jez Reynolds takes us through chapter 4 and the example we have from Paul of the true, powerful, and eternal gospel of Jesus.

Paul lived a life shaped by the cross of Jesus Christ: all about the glory of God! Todd Parry-Jones shows us from chapter 4, that Paul never loses heart, but perseveres through his suffering for the sake of others and their salvation to the glory of God.

Christ and the Law

Romans 7:7-25 | EV Church | 17/05/2026 | Jez Reynolds

"I don't do what I want. And what I hate, I do!" Paul's words resonate with our inner struggle. Jez Reynolds shows us how they drive us to the solution to despair, and the engine for change.

Micah 7:14-20

Micah 7:14-20 | EV Church | 25/09/2016 | Nathan Sandon

Tags: Gathered, Membership, Micah, God's people, Judgement, Remnant, Salvation

Nathan Sandon considers the question "Who is a God like you?" highlighting that God is consistently compassionate, faithful to His promises, delights in showing mercy, and is utterly trustworthy. Are you trusting in the goodness of God, celebrating the victory won through Jesus, so that you can walk humbly with your God even in the midst of despair and suffering?

Death is the End?

1 Corinthians 15:1-11 | EV Church | 20/01/2013 | Andrew Heard

Death is the end or something happens after this life are mutually exclusive. i.e only one of these statements can be right. The essence of who Jesus was, is bound up on the afterlife. John 11:21-26 Jesus primary purpose wasn't to be a moral teacher, but to be a ransom for many so that they live free in the afterlife for eternity. Mark 10:45 Believing that this life is all there is, leads to a thinking that one should pursue whatever provides the most pleasure, and one that has no morals and no justice. Perhaps we would rather live in the despair of nothing, than to acknowledge God and live under His service. Facing God on judgement day without Jesus' protection, is a fate worse than death. If there is life beyond (as claimed by Jesus), it has very serious ramifications.
