Colossians 2:16-23 raises the dangers of seeking growth through human traditions, rules, or mystical practices, which sound helpful but can actually be harmful. In Colossians, Paul shows us that Jesus gives us all we need for salvation and growth, and we see how it is that he grows us. Are you giving yourself to the normal ways that Jesus grows you?

Luke 8:40-55

Is there a God and does he care? Nature can over power us, and when we are threatened by sickness & death we are more inclined to call out to God. Who do you trust in a broken world. Jairus and the woman both put their trust in Jesus (small as it is) and Jesus responds in compassion. - True faith rests on knowledge and is meant to grow. - True faith leads to a person throwing themselves on Jesus completely. - People who came to test Jesus went away trapped and confused, but those who come to him on their knees find salvation Yes there is a God and Jesus is the consistent character to look to, to find Him.
Romans 7:1-6

Much of Romans is meant to correct misunderstandings. Andrew unpacks the first 6 verses of Romans 7 in light of several misunderstandings. 1. Everything one day will be okay. 2. If God is holy and angry at sin, give me the laws to live by. 3. We misunderstand marriage. Being bound by marriage is different to being romantically connected. 4. Christians live under guilt. (wrong - we are counted as righteous). 5. If I'm saved by what Christ has done, I can do what I like. 6. To be in the spirit means you don't need the written word. 7. Christians are no different to anyone else. 8. Christianity is like every others religion Pray that you will rejoice that we are free from the law, and free to grow in holiness for Christ our rescuer.
