Saturday EV - Micah 6:1-8
Micah 6:1-8 | Saturday EV | 17/09/2016 | Andrew Heard
Andrew Heard examines what it means to know truly who God is. Is your view of God a cold, aloof and harsh being, or one of compassion, incredibly patient, slow to anger, gracious, generous, and abounding in love. Pray that you can do what is right, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.

2 Timothy 1:1-5 - EV Night
2 Timothy 1:1-5 | EV Night | 7/05/2017 | Jez Reynolds
Paul spurs Timothy on in his sincere faith - a faith that perserveres till the end. Let's get on our knees and be people, like Paul, that faithfully pray for our brothers and sons and daughters in the faith.
Jesus the Bread of Life - Craig Dobbie
John 6:22-59 | EV Church | 6/01/2013 | Craig Dobbie
Craig Dobbie preaching on Jesus the bread of life. Understanding the sovereignty of God gives us 3 things. 1. Make us patient. 2. Make us prayerful 3. Make us people who are bold. Pray that evangelism becomes a priority for you in 2013.
Judges 11:29-35
Judges 11:29-35 | EV Church | 16/06/2013 | Andrew Heard
Andrew preaching on Jephthat. As the Judges cycle continues, we see in Judges 10:15-16, Israel repents and God in his mercy, rescues them - not because God owes them anything, but because He was grieved by their misery. Jephthat's vow had 2 problems 1. A stupid vow. 2. It was godless, and in effect was an attempt to bribe God. What Jepthat failed to do is to recognise God for who He is. God's mercy and grace is poured out on us because of who He is, not because of our works, vows or sacrifices. Pray for a repentant heart and a greater understanding of God's mercy.
Nothing Can Separate Us Romans 8:11-14
Romans 8:11-14 | EV Church | 25/08/2013 | Craig Dobbie
Craig Dobbie preaching on Rom 8:11-14 where Paul describes our transformation from slave to freedom, from enemy to adoption. Holy Spirit is our legal guarantee of our adoption 1. Points us to the objective truth of the gospel seen in Jesus (Rom 5:8) 2. Shows you Gods love in a subjective way so you feel it (Rom 5:5) 3. Awakens our knowledge that we are Gods children Pray that you will engage in the fight against sin, and share in Christ's suffering as evidence of your salvation.
Judges 17-18
Judges 17:16-6 | EV Church | 30/06/2013 | Craig Dobbie
Craig Dobbie unpacks the story of Micah and the Levite Jonathan. Here the author of Judges changes tact from the story of a chosen rescuer and drills into some of normal characters of the time. We see that the people have lost their way, doing their own thing and are superstitious. Passing the faith down to our generations matters. Spiritual consequences are not obvious is the short term, but are clear in eternity. Pray that you grow in discernment & be good spiritual leaders to your family.
The Journey - Luke 9:18-27
Luke 9:18-27 | EV Church | 3/03/2013 | Craig Dobbie
Craig Dobbie preaching on Luke 9:18-27. Who is this man Jesus and what will it mean to follow him? The disciples were only half right a out who Jesus is. The Jews were expecting several great leaders - prophet, priest, servant king and a conquering messiah. They didn't expect these to be fulfilled in one man - Jesus. What will it mean to follow him? To die to the old selfish life, through daily repentance and to live to bring honour to God. To avoid the temptation of being ashamed of Jesus. Pray that you will remember that Jesus is both the suffering saviour and judge.
Prayer Matters - EV Night
Ephesians 3:14-21 | EV Night | 20/09/2015 | Dan Ford
Week 4: Revelation 12-13
Revelation 12-13 | EV Church | 6/11/2016 | Andrew Heard
Andrew Heard describes the very real spiritual dimension that the bible refers to in Revelation 12, highlighting that despite what we may see as ordinary, that there are spectacular spiritual celebrations in heaven as people decide to follow Jesus. Pray that you can counter the accusations of Satan (a massively spiritual battle) by believing and trusting in the Father, thankful that Jesus has paid for our sin, and growing to be more like Christ.
