Clear

Jeremiah ministers through Judah's final days into Babylonian exile. The book's unifying theme is God's word, structured in two movements: first, God's word of fire tears down idolatrous Judah—its false security in temple, covenant, and monarchy (ch. 2-24); second, that same word is vindicated among the nations and plants new life, including the promise of a new covenant written on hearts (ch. 25-52). Though heavy with judgment against hard-hearted rebellion, the book reveals God's patience and faithfulness, preserving a remnant. Two promises point forward to Jesus: a righteous Davidic king (23:5-6) and the new covenant fulfilled through His blood (31:33-34).

The word preserved

20/09/2026 | Dan Ford

What does it mean for us to be a 'Bible' church? Walking through Jeremiah 36, Dan Ford helps us consider how God's people must listen and respond to God's Word.

The word preserved

20/09/2026 | Jez Reynolds

Our whole faith rests on a message - a word we've received about a Lord we've never seen. There can be moments when even a lifelong Christian stops and wonders whether it's all real. Jez Reynolds preaches on Jeremiah 36, where a king cuts up God's word and burns it piece by piece, only to have it come back longer than before. This word that could not be destroyed is the word you can build a life on.

The word of future restoration

13/09/2026 | Andrew Heard

There is something wrong with our hearts... our community bends us towards selfishness, pride, and depravity. Andrew Heard speaks on the big picture of the Bible, and God's promises to us of a new covenant that rest on his forgiveness not our performance.

The word of power

23/08/2026 | Grahame Fuller

Like clay in the hands of the potter, the creator chooses to re-form or smash the pot. Grahame Fuller speaks on the devastating point of no return away from God, the reality of his judgement, and the hope we have in Jesus.

The word of power

23/08/2026 | Matt Evans

True power is found in weakness, not despite it. Matt Evans takes us through the life of Jeremiah to see the power of having God with us even while we are weak.
