1. Do I have to book in for EV Kids?
No, You don’t have to prebook for EV Kids. Just come along any and every Sunday at both our 8:30 and 10:30 services.
2. Do I need to sign-in my kids when I arrive? Where do I do that?
Yes, Kids do need to be signed in to our program on arrival. Currently our school aged kids start in the Round with parents. When they are dismissed from the service, parents take K-2 kids to meet their teachers on the concrete outside the Foyer. Kids in years 3-6 can sign themselves in at the Hall.
Doors open for our under 5’s classrooms at 8:20am and 10:20am. These kids are signed in/out at their rooms. At sign in you will be asked to record any allergy information for your child and to leave an emergency contact number.
3. What will my child be doing in EV Kids and where will they be?
We run a fun, engaging, Bible based program for all ages. You can check out our term outlines on the EV Kids home page. Our creche and Preschool classes (under 5’s) can be found in the downstairs rooms. K-2 meet upstairs in the U2, U3, U4 and the seminar room. Years 3-6 meet in the Hall.
If you are not sure where to go, our friendly Connect Team members will be around to help you or look out for a coloured EV Kids shirt!
4. Do my kids need to bring anything to EV Kids?
Our Under 5’s enjoy a morning tea time together. This has become a lovely time of relationship building and discussion and we find little tummies often get hungry before the morning is done. Please pack a small snack and a drink bottle for your child. But please NO NUTS of any kind.
If your child is in year 3-6 we encourage them to bring a Bible, so that they can follow along and engage well in their small group Bible study time.
5. What safe ministry practices do you have in place?
All our teachers involved in leading, teaching and caring for children and youth are well trained, have completed safe ministry training within the past three years, and have a current NSW Working with Children Check verified by EV Church.
If you ever have any safe ministry concerns please speak to our safe ministry contacts: EV Kids Leader Kirrily Griffiths [email protected] or our Executive Pastor Andrew Mitchell [email protected] via email or the church office. You can view more information on our approach to safe ministry here.
6. Are there online kids resources available?
Yes. We have an online video library and printable worksheets for each age group. You can find these by clicking on the year group buttons on the EV Kids home page.
