Rhys began leading the AFES ministry full time at Ourimbah campus in 2022 and he continues to train Christian students and share their faith with others on campus. Pray for wisdom as they seek to do this in creative ways at Ourimbah.

(CMS) Pacific
Matt and Caitlin, together with kids Josiah (3) and Grace (9mths), are looking forward to serving in the Pacific, where they hope to engage in Bible translation ministry. They aim to serve alongside local translators to bring God’s powerful word to local people in the ‘heart language’ they most clearly understand, that they might see and know Jesus. The Bakons will visit us in August 2026.

(CMS) Uganda
Simon and Margie have served with their family previously in Africa and are planning to return to serve long-term in Uganda. Simon hopes to teach bible studies at the Bishop Tucker School of Divinity and Theology, at the centre of Uganda Christian University. The school has been training leaders for the church of Uganda for more than 100 years and has an extensive ministry into the university. Simon and Margie will share with us in November 2026.

A new bible-based church plant in Newcastle’s growing western suburbs. Sam Broadfoot (brother to Ben!), his family and small staff team, planted the church in late 2025. We’ll hear more about the church in Term 2.
