What is Churn?
Churn is a kids club hosted by EV Church and has been going for over 10 years. Each Friday arvo kids can come to hang out, play some games, eat some dinner, hear what the Bible has to say and spend some time discussing it together.
Who runs Churn?
Churn is currently led by Jaz Quirk who has been involved in the kids work at EV Church for over five years where she has been trained by some of the best kids pastors in Australia. She is a nurse by trade, but is currently employed by EV Church, with Churn as her primary responsibility. She loves helping kids to have fun as they learn and hang out with friends at Churn.
What are the leaders like?
Along with Jaz, Churn is run by a team of highly trained volunteers who attend EV Church and all have a Working With Children’s Check. They are always updated on safe practices for working with kids. The team loves getting to know kids who come to Churn and are ready to have a lot of fun with them.
My child has food allergies, what does that mean for dinner?
Churn provides dinner as part of the program. All food at Churn is nut-free and Churn also caters for Gluten-free, Dairy-free, Egg-free and Vegetarian diets. If your child has further restrictions on diet we ask that you provide your own food.
I would like to bring my child to Churn, what do I need to know?
If it is your child’s first night at Churn, we will require you to fill out a registration form, which includes basic contact details for emergencies.
Other things to be aware of:
We ask that as you drop children off, that you would park your car, and walk them across the carpark to the Rego Desk, where children can then sign themselves in.
At the end of the night, we require the adult picking them up to sign the child out, so please collect your children and line up at the sign out desk. We will also give you any info for upcoming events at the sign out desk too.
I’ve got more questions…
That’s great! If you would like any more information, or would like to contact Jaz, you can reach her at firstname.lastname@example.org and she will reply promptly.
