- I’m New
Welcome to EV Church! Our weekend gatherings are special times together when our church family meet. We hear what God has to say to us in his Word, the Bible. It is always a time of encouragement and challenge.
If you are new at one of our weekend services we would love to chat after the service and help you get to know us.
We believe that the world and everything in it, including people, belongs to God. What we do in God’s world and with God’s world is important to Him. We believe that Jesus is God's Son.
Find out more about Jesus and what we believe.
At EV we have a range of services that meet a different times across the weekend. We meet in two main locations, Erina and Woy Woy on the Peninsula.
Join us at one of our weekly services.

EV Church partners with the ministry of Compassion to sponsor children living in poverty in East India.
By sponsoring children through Compassion, our church is helping vulnerable children living in poor communities, providing for their most basic needs like clean water and nourishing food. Most importantly, we are giving them the chance to hear and respond to the gospel message—some for the very first time.
EV Church began partnering with Compassion’s ministry in December 2012, with a strategic focus on the remote and impoverished region of Mizoram, northeast India. We now have more than 360 children sponsored across EV, with 248 of these children living in East India. By sponsoring children in this area, our church is helping equip local churches reach out to children in need and bring real and lasting change to the region.
Compassion is an international child development organisation that works to release children from poverty. Compassion’s work is distinctly:
- Christ-centred—Every child has the opportunity to hear and respond to the gospel
- Child-focused—Programs engage each child as a complete individual
- Church-based—Programs are run exclusively through local churches.
About East India
Despite massive economic growth over the last decade, India has the largest number of impoverished children in Asia, with 80 per cent of its 400 million young people severely deprived. Significant inequalities remain based on class, caste, gender and geography, with widespread poverty and malnutrition particularly affecting women and children.
To hear more about the reality of poverty in India, check out this interview with a former sponsored child who grew up in the slums of Kolkata. Jane (pronounced Jar-ni) Alam Sheikh visited us at EV to share his story.
Mizoram State is located in northeast India and shares its borders with Bangladesh to the west and Myanmar to the east and south. It is a diverse state, home to more than one million people across many community groups. Agriculture is the primary industry in the state, with more than 70 per cent of the population involved in agriculture. Although Mizoram has one of highest literacy rates of any Indian state, almost 20 per cent of the population lives below the poverty line. Christianity is the predominant religion in Mizoram, and other major religions include Buddhism, Hinduism and Islam.
To find out more Mizoram and the impact our church is having on this region, check out this video of a member of our church who has been there and experienced it first-hand.
